The Emotion-Rating Experiment by Using Western Movie : The Correlation between reading emotions and TV exposure

Abstract(in English) The present study aimed at investigating into the positive effect of TV exposure upon the development of a social skill useful for reading of emotion in foreigners. In study 1, thirty two university students were exposed to eight scenes (thirteen stimuli) of Western movies, and they rated the intensity for eleven emotions. In study 2, they answered to questionnaire about their exposure to TV. The results indicated that there are correlations between their emotional cognition and TV exposure.
