Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the plan, as a part of UKARI Project, to develop a robot interface as a technology to support life in a ubiquitous living environment equipped with networked appliances and sensors. We propose a new metaphor by combining an unconscious robot (a mother) and a visible robot (a child). This metaphor eliminates the strange feeling of unconscious robots and provides an explanation of an unexpected autonomous behavior.
