Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report deals with collaborative work using haptic media under inter-destination synchronization control in a distributed virtual environment. In the work, two users manipulate a CG object collaboratively by using haptic interface devices. Under the inter-destination synchronization control, we adjust the output timing of haptic media at the two clients to the earlier output timing. By carrint out subjective assessment of haptic media output quality, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the control.
