Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An attempt has been focused to apply network facilities to the remote learning, by the diffusion of the Internet. The remote learning can be classified into a synchronous type and an asynchronous type. A synchronous type is also called as the Real-Time learning, such as a television conference system. In this type, the learner can be provided with interactive study. The problem in this type, however, is that an initial cost which includes the dedicated device and particular software tends to be high. An asynchronous type is also called as the on-demand learning, such as Web-Based Training. In this type, the learner can study without any constraint of the space and the time. But the realization of interactive learning can be difficult in this type. So the authors developed an integrated remote learning system, which support both the synchronous type and the asynchronous type that can make use of these advantages.
