Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ActiveCube is a novel user interface which allows users to interact intuitively with computers. Active-Cube allows users to construct and interact with three dimensional (3D) environments using physical cubes equipped with input/output devices. We have developed various applications using ActiveCube that utilize sophisticated I/O devices or require much CPU power of the host PC. In this paper, we propose and implement a new method that reduces the burden of the host PC by sharing the procedure between the host PC and cubes. Furthermore, we propose and implement a method that restricts unnecessary packets in the network between cubes and host PC by realizing the autonomic movement of each cube.
