Abstract(in English) Several channel-aware scheduling algorithms for mobile packet systems such as proportional fair (PF) algorithm have been proposed. None of the existing algorithms pursue mixture and coexistence of best effort class serviced by PF algorithm and real-time class with certain delay and throughput constraints. This study proposes a new scheduling algorithm that can efficiently support best effort class serviced by PF algorithm and real-time class. The proposed algorithm schedules time slots based on the utilization of the buffer space on mobile stations. Performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by simulations.
