Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes about the survey on needs of a virtual environment in the genome information science field. In this field, researchers have to analyze huge genome data and get new biological or medical knowledge. Visualization of these huge data will help researchers to grasp the whole data and to easy to analyze. Thus a virtual environment for an analysis of gene expression data has been developed using the immersive projection display. This system was demonstrated to the several tens of bioinformatics researchers to get feedback from them. Questionnaires about the virtual environment were surveyed twice. The result of this survey is the needs of a virtual environment for each researcher is high.
