Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a Bluetooth piconet using ACL (Asynchronous Connection-Less) links, two MAC layer level parameters, i.e. ACL packet types and poll interval, determine bandwidth of a wireless link between the master and a slave. In the case of point-to-multipoint communication, these parameters of each wireless link have influence on bandwidth of other wireless links. Therefore, it is very difficult to acquire the combinations of the MAC parameters that enable all wireless links to be assigned appropriate bandwidth. Moreover, two MAC parameters are not sufficient to control the assigned bandwidth more accurately. This paper proposes a MAC parameters acquisition method by Genetic Algorithm for the purpose of assignment of the bandwidth to each wireless link in a Bluetooth piconet. In this paper, a new MAC parameter is introduced to assign the bandwidth to each wireless link more accurately. This paper also represents the simulation results, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
