Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, multi-party video conference does not provide equivalent quality in comparison to face-to-face conference. One assumed reason is that participants can not be aware of "who is focusing on whom". We introduce virtual space to the multi-party conference system, allocating avatars in the space. We also introduce intuitive input intefface using motion processor in order to construct a multi-party conference system where participants can be aware of "who is focusing on whom". A new displaying method is essential for this system, therefore, we introduce a way by which an user can obtain the feedback of which user he/she is focusing on. We introduce e-MulCS as the system which fulfils those proposals. By comparing this system with the video conference system, we were able to obtain the result that our system is better in the sense that participants were aware of "who is focusing on whom".
