Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a browsing and similarity search method of videos based on cluster analysis. First, videos are segmented into shots by the fuzzy clustering of graph spectral methods. Second, the videos are represented as the sequence of symbols by grouping of the shots. According to this representation, the directed graph of the videos is formed based on the relationship between these symbols. Initial and terminal shots are extracted from the directed graph by the fuzzy cluster extraction. They are browsed from the initial shots to the terminal one sequentially. The shots selected by users are utilized as a query video on similarity search. Performance of the proposed method is examined using the video dataset of NASA.
