Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe a novel method that can estimate the extrinsic parameters and the focal length of a camera by using only one single image of two coplanar circles with arbitrary radius. This method does not require that the circle centers or the full circles are viewable, and the circles can have any unknown radius. Compared with conventional methods, our method has the following advantages : 1) it does not use specially designed objects, 2) it can obtain unique solution by using only one monocular image, 3) it can estimate the focal length and the extrinsic parameters, and 4) it can be used to estimate the relative translation and rotation between cameras. The extensive experiments over simulated images and real images demonstrate the robustness and the effectiveness of our method.
