Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Authors have developed a tool called HTML viewer and been applying the Web technology in the education for students with low vision by preparing materials in HTML format, and applying CSS to modify layout suitable for each student. One problem with this application is portability. PDAs are well accepted in the society and could be used by students with low vision. We ported the same tool to PDA and 2 students with low vision used it for a period of time and evaluated its effectiveness. In short, PDAs with HTML viewer could be especially useful for those with rather good acuity but limited central field of view. |
