Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper will report the SF_6 gas, decomposed by UV irradiation at the stratosphere, may destruct the ozone (O_3) layer as the same as the Freon gas. SF_6 gas absorbs very strongly the 10.6 μm P branch of CO_2 laser beam, while O_3 has the unique absorption spectrum with a sharp valley at the centol of the 9.6 μm P branch. So, we can easily observe the production rate of ozone after tang discharge over 30 minutes of oxygen (O_2) by the laser photo-acoustic measurement of the valley depth. Thus, it will be concluded the ozone layer may be destroyed by the SF_6 decomposition products due to UV irradiation at the stratosphere.
