Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Injection locking has been actively researched for its possibility to improve laser performance for both digital and analog applications. When a modulated follower laser (also termed "slave" laser) is locked to a CW-operated master laser, the follower laser's resonance frequency can be greatly increased, and nonlinear distortion and frequency chirp significantly reduced. In this paper we review our recent experimental and theoretical results of injection-locked VCSEL with greatly increased bandwidth and reduced non-linearity and chirp. All these properties enhance analog and digital modulation performance.
