Abstract(in English) A monolithically integrated 100-channel WDM channel selector (50-GHz grid spacing) was developed. It covers entire C-band range. The selector consists of two arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs), two semiconductor-optical-amplifier (SOA)-gate arrays, and a multimode interference (MMI) coupler. To reduce crosstalk, higher-order-mode filters are put into the arrayed waveguides of the AWGs. Lossless operation for all channels was achieved. And error free operation at 10 Gbit/s was also obtained.
