Abstract(in English) | A diode-pumped Yb:YAG laser has been developed with a novel thin-rod laser architecture for high beam quality and high power ultra short pulsed output. The CW average output power of 55 W and the optical conversion efficiency of 26 % are obtained with a multimode beam quality of M^2 = 6, and the CW output power of 25 W and the conversion efficiency of 13 % are obtained with a single mode beam quality of M^2 = 1.3. A pulse energy of 2.5 mJ and a peak power of 86 kW are obtained for Q-switched operation. |
