Analysis of tuning characteristics of post-tunable long-period fiber grating

Abstract(in English) The tuning characteristics of post-tunable long-period fiber grating (PT-LPFG) that can control the resonance characteristics by locally loading medium of different refractive index outside the fiber cladding, were theoretically analyzed using mode-coupling theory and transfers matrix. Results of the calculation showed that resonance wavelength could be shifted maintaining the dip shape, or resonance depth could be controlled without resonance wavelength shift. Those results agreed with the experiment results.
