Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recent progress in WDM systems requires the use of large number of channels as well as narrow channel spacing. Thus, it becomes important to control the optical frequency of each laser module precisely. We developed a thermally tunable DFB laser module integrated with a wavelength monitor. We achieved PMF coupled power > 40mW, 25GHz x 20ch tenability. We developed the separated TEC configuration to control the laser diode and the filter independently and achieved extremely small wavelength drift < +/-1.25GHz and lower TEC power consumption < 5W with very promising aging data. |
