Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An ultrafast all-optical wavelength conversion will be a key-device to realize the future photonic network over 40 Gbit/s per wavelength. The photonic node is expected to be "transparent" for a bit-rate and a data format to make the network more flexible and scalable. In this paper, we proposed and experimentally demonstrated a novel bit-rate tunable all-optical switch by using a combination of semiconductor optical amplifier and a variable group delay generator at from 10 Gbit/s to 80 Gbit/s under the same condition.
