| Abstract(in English) | ECOC2002 was successfully held in Copenhagen during Sept. 8-12, 2002 with 1,600 attendees. We review the innovative technologies discussed in the conference. Topics on uncooled lasers, external-cavity lasers, and wavelength conversion using SOA are overviewed in the field of metro/access systems. DPSK modulation, WDM transmission with band-limited signals, Raman amplifiers and PMD compensation are key technologies in the core/back-bone network. |
