Abstract(in English) | To achieve large capacity long haul transmission, it is important to use a narrow spectrum modulation format to fully utilize the limited bandwidth of the EDFA. VSB format, which is generated by suppressing one of the sidebands of an RZ signal is known as a narrow spectrum format. We propose a novel VSB generation scheme using phase modulation. The applicability of the novel modulation format is verified through an Ultra long haul DWDM transmission test. |
