Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This research investigates an optimal structure of a monitoring system when observations are not independent. A necessary and sufficient condition is derived for the optimum policy to be given by a monotone procedure. If the optimum policy can be limited to a monotone procedure, the tremendous amount of calculation time required to find the optimum procedure can be reduced. This enables the best decision in a much shorter period of time to be selected.
