Space Satellite Active Integrated Antenna for Automotive

Abstract(in English) In t his report, as one of the applicable technique, an active integrated antenna in the automotive communication units for engineering test satellite VIII (ETS-VIII) was demonstrated with experimental data from test fabrication and communication experiment for mobile communication. The active integrated antenna provided fountain beam pattern by ring array alignment, so as to communicate without restriction of vehicle running direction. The six element active integrated antenna operated with function of beam switching to concentrate radiation power to optimum direction and to prevent interference to another communication units. Specification of the active integrated antenna as design performance was checked, and experiments of communication with automotive were carried out.
