Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an automatic method transforming batch processing legacy programs into web-based, client server modeled object-oriented classes. By using features of the batch processing and organizational-specific coding standards, our method assigns semantics to data and procedures of legacy COBOL programs. Next it transforms the programs into Object-Oriented COBOL (OO-COBOL) classes, which process transactions interactively. Client-side of OO-COBOL classes are written in the MVC model. Moreover, the server-side of OO-COBOL are adapted to EJB.
