Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An analysis method is described for waveguide-type magneto-photonic crystal (MFC) devices. In particular, a scattering matrix method which is very efficient for the analysis of large-scale photonic crystal optical circuits is extended to the waveguide-type MPC devices exhibiting nonreciprocal properties. The formulation can also be applied to multimode devices, such as isolators based on nonreciprocal phase shift in interference systems. As an example of such structures, a MPC waveguide coupler is analyzed to examine the validity of the method presented here.
