Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage(SMES) needs Persistent Current Switch(PCS) in order to switch to the persistent current modes. We have considered using the switch of High-Temperature Superconductor(HTS) as a mechanical PCS. In previous papers, we showed that the switch behaves like superconductivity. However, its contact resistance was too large to use it as PCS. In this paper, in addition to polishing the contact surface, we deposited the metals(In, Ag, Au) on the surface to reduce its contact resistance. Accordingly, we could reduce it to about 6μΩ. Furthermore, we analyzed the temperature of the switch with Finite Element Method(FEM) based on the experimental results.
