Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When palladium contacts mounted on a small relay are used as the make-only contacts or the break-only contacts in a resistive circuit of power voltage 30 - 42 V and current 4 -10 A, the transferred pip appears on the anode contact. In case of make-only operation of Ag/CdO, Ag/SnO_2 and AgNi contacts, a large pip appears on the cathode contact, and in the break-only operation, a large pip is not inspected visually. It is considered that this difference between the transfer direction on Pd contacts and the transfer direction on other materials' contact pairs arises for the long bounce height and the short conversion arc length from the anode loss dominated arc to the cathode loss dominated arc.
