Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Although power-line communication is expected as a promising method to realize an in-home network, one of its difficulties is the wiring scheme, which sometimes affects the signal-attenuation property and sometimes introduces an unnecessary radiation due to the electrical unbalance. These problems may occur, when power-line channels are branched, the length of two signaling-wires is different due to switch circuits, and the conventional layout of ground-wire for outlets with ground connecter is used. In this paper, new wiring schemes are proposed. It is shown that the schemes are effective in improving the transmission characteristic of the power-line channels. Moreover, the scheme allows us to make the phantom transmission available when 3-wires VVF cables are used. The phantom transmission makes the power-line channel-capacity double. Although the electrical unbalance was also improved by the proposed wiring-schemes, their degree was so small. Finally, the suitable balun for the phantom transmission is studied, and the force-balun has achieved a better isolation characteristic when compared to a float-balun.
