Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is essential to protect the speech privacy of convarsations between two rooms. This study primarily an index for securing speech privacy. Specifically, the frequency characteristic of intelligibility in Japanese speech is calculated. A new index for speech privacy protection based on the speech and insulation characteristics is introduced. Next, relationship between the index and the speech privacy evaluation is established. Using this relationship, the prediction and design problems in assuming the actual wall are considered. Finally, the validity and the usefulness of the intoroduced index are confirmed experimentally.
