Abstract(in English) In acoustic echo canceller, the echo return loss enhancement deteriorates when the power ratio of the reference signal to the noise is low and after the echo path changed. This paper presents techniques to update the coefficients of the adaptive filter without the detection of the low ratio and the change. We use the block implementation of the normalized least mean square (NLMS) algorithm as adaptive algorithm. In this implementation, not only the step size but also the block length are available for controlling the estimation error. The estimation error can be kept at a desired level even under the fluctuation of the power ratio by adjusting the both. A problem is that the adjustment decreases the convergence speed after large echo path change.
