Calculation of vibration modes in an elastic waveguide and its application to SAW resonator : An investigation of construction method for multi-mode SAW resonators

Abstract(in English) Resonators and filters making use of surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) are widely used for communication systems. But, it seems not to be reflected the nature of waves distinctly as wave devices. This paper, on viewpoint of vibration modes incidented in an elastic waveguide, explains about expansion of vibration modes and construction method for multi-mode-SAW resonators, proposes multi mode resonator with new characteristics as application to SAW resonator, then suggests application to coding devices with its characteristics. Concretely, based on translation factor for each vibration mode, calculation of vibration modes in a lossless, ideal waveguide is compared with that in the real A V/V waveguide. And the calculating guides to SAW resonator with new characteristics.
