Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In some applications, embedding of multiple watermarks in a single multimedia content is required. In this report, therefore, multiplexing watermarks based on the method of periodical phase modulation is investigated. Three kinds of information are assumed as watermarks to be embedded, i.e. "Copyright Management Information (CMI)", "Copy Control Information (CCI)", and "Individual ID (Fingerprint)". The proposed method is called "PPM-POM" (Periodical Phase Modulation - Phase Oriented Multiplexing) because it maneuvers interaural phase difference to accomplish the multiplexing. In this method, CCI is embedded using 3-FSK of the interaural phase difference of the periodical phase modulation since a blind detection is necessary for CCI. Meanwhile, CMI and Fingerprint are independently embedded into both channels by using Trellis Coded 8-PSK (TC8PSK).
