Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a mel cepstral speech signal processing technique considering property of the voice and characteristics of auditory sense. By using the mel cepstral analysis technique, we can precisely extract a pole-zero type spectral envelope approximated by the mel log spectrum of a trigonometric polynomial with the coefficients of mel cepstrum. Also, by using the mel log spectrum approximation (MLSA) filter, we can synthesize a high quality speech signal and implement au adaptive mel cepstral analysis system having a high accuracy and a high convergence speed.
