Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Elderly listeners often complain to broadcasting service, "It is difficult to understand the speech in broadcasting programs because that is felt too rapid". Cope with this, we have been working on research of the speech rate conversion method which can convert the input speech into slower rate without accumulating the time delay. In this paper, we report a new radio set on the market with the universal design adopting some functions, including the technology, to assist the listening of elderly people.
