Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) PARCOR and LSP speech analysis-synthesis methods are low bit rate speech coding methods which serve as a fundamental method for speech processing, such as speech band-width compression method and feature extraction for speech recognition. PARCOR and LSP methods were invented in 1969 and 1975, respectively, at the Electrical Communication Laboratory of NTT. In this article, a brief history of the PAROR and LSP will be described.
