| 抄録(和) | 視覚情報に含まれる色と動きの2つの特徴に対して,人が別々に注意を向けられるかを調べるために,心理物理実験を行った.視覚刺激は,色(赤/縁)と動き(外向き/内向き)の2つの特徴を含む円状ランダムドットパターンを用いた.特徴の判断における反応時間と正答率を記録し,被験者が1つの特徴に対して,他方の特徴の変化に関わらず注意を向けることができるかを調べた.実験の結果,反応時間及び判断の正答率には,注意を向けない方の特徴が一定である時と変動する時とで,有意な差が見られなかった(p>0.8).以上のことから,人は注意を向けていない特徴の影響を強く受けずに色と動きに対して別々に注意を向けることができることが示唆される. |
| 抄録(英) | The ability of humans to separately attend either color or motion was investigated using psychophysical techniques. One thousand random dots were presented as visual stimuli in an imaginary circular patch. The target was defined by nineteen colors including one of two target colors (red/green) and random motions including one of two coherent motions (expansion/contraction). Subjects were asked to judge either the target color or the target motion. The reaction times (RTs) and the error rates (ERs) to the subject's responses were recorded under two conditions: (1) when an irrelevant dimension was kept constant (baseline), and (2) when an irrelevant dimension varied (filtering). Neither RT nor ER differed between the baseline and the filtering conditions (p > 0.8) for either color or motion judgment. Results suggest that humans can attend to either color or motion while ignoring the other dimension. |
