Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Advanced technologies have meaning only when it is disseminated all over the world. However, Japanese technologies are sometimes not sufficiently appreciated because of poor presentations in English at international conferences. Beside research presentations, the linguistic habits, including greetings, of Japanese in such places as airplanes, airports, shops and stores are often very odd for natives, but most Japanese are not aware of this. This article points this out and also shows the gist of correct English pronunciations and accents. |
