Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We derive general expressions of pulse propagation time on warped membrane to analyze the cell shape influence on signal processing. In particular, we consider round (Purkinje-like) and cone (pyramidal) cell shapes to compare the theoretical results with computational ones obtained by the two-dimensional membrane notential computation. We also take into account the channel type varieties (Squid, CA3). It is found that membrane-expanding parts have large effects on the propagation time and velocity.
