Abstract(in English)	In this report, we present a general algorithm for multi-category classification problem based on error correcting output codes(ECOC). This type of classification is essentially different from the conventional classification in the sense that in the former a pattern is not assumed to belong to one of exclusive categories. We experemintally show the usefuleness of the proposed algorithm by applying the method to multi-topic text categorization.
