Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new space-time turbo equalization scheme to support bandwidth-efficient and power-efficient broadband systems using a single carrier transmission scheme over frequency selective fading chan- nels. To achieve high spectral efficiency in such a system, we will propose set partitioning and soft cancelling techniques in the soft interference canceller followed by minimum means square error (SC/MMSE) based turbo equalizer, thereby spectrally efficient trellis coded modulation (TCM) scheme can be applicable to the SC/MMSE based turbo equalizer. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed system is effective in improving spectral efficiency in broadband single carrier systems.
