A Study on IQ separated spreading for OFCDM

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an IQ-separated OFCDM spreading method , which allocates chips in time domain and frequency domain separately after dividing the spread symbols into I-channels and Q-channels. The proposed method achieves frequency diversity gain while reducing the performance degradation due to the loss of orthogonality between the spreading codes for frequency selective channels. Moreover, this paper shows an adaptive allocation method depending on the multipath environment and the modulation scheme for the time and frequency spreading. Computer simulations show that the presented method outperforms conventional 2D spreading with prioritized time spreading for OFCDM.
