| 抄録(和) | 「ユビキタスコンピューティング」や「どこでもコンピュータ」といった言葉が示唆する世界への扉が今まさに開こうとしている.デバイスの小型・高性能・省電力化,時間や場所を選ばずにインターネット接続ができる小型無線端末,サービスのプラク・アンド・プレイを実現する自動設定技術などがユビキタスヘの原動力となっている.本稿では来るべきユピキタス時代に向けた研究ロードマップを,インターネット的な側面とモバイルネットワーク的な側面の双方から示すとともに,それぞれの技術課題を示す.また,ユビキタスネットワーキングの実現に向けて我々が進めているいくつかの研究プロジェクトを紹介する. |
| 抄録(英) | In the future, interconnected devices will be so commonplace that "the Internet" becomes invisible. Devices span from so tiny that the computer disappears, to servers so large that storage limits vanish. The key towards this is to design an information infrastructure where computing, content, and network resources are completely transparent to the user. We believe that it is now time to revisit the Internet to determine whether it can be changed to align better with such future requirements. The goal is to develop an information infrastructure to make it more convenient for people to interact with information, devices, and other people. In addition, to define prototype networked applications is also a goal towards which information society can evolve. This presentation shows research roadmaps from both viewpoints of Internet and mobile networks, technological challenges, and our approaches to realize ubiquitous networks. |
