Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, carriers have provided network service with various bandwidth menus. In this service, policing function is applied at the network edge to limit the rate of traffic from each user. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm of the Group Policer to realize a value-added service. In the new algorithm, the hierarchical structure of the user organization like enterprises and public organizations, universities is taken into consideration so as to realize bandwidth guaranteeing for each department of the organization and bandwidth sharing among departments. Moreover, we implemented the algorithm on a prototype system and verified its effectiveness for the value-added service.
