Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The rapidly increasing number of users and services in mobile communications requires efficient usage of the available frequency band. MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) systems are one possible candidate to meet these demands. We have proposed an iterative decoder equipped with VIP (Varying Interleave Patterns) for each transmission channel in convolutionally encoded MIMO systems, and demonstrated the iterative decoder can obtain a larger diversity gain than an iterative decoder equipped with same interleave patterns for each transmission channel under Rayleigh fading channels. In this paper, we evaluate BER performances under Rician fading channels. The results in a computer simulation indicate clearly that BER performances are improved significantly.
