| 抄録(和) | 近年IEEE802.11無線LANが普及しており、ホットスポットと呼ばれる無線LANベースのインターネットアクセスが利用できる環境が増えてきた。ホットスポットは、伝送速度は高速であるが伝播範囲が狭いという特徴を持つ。このため端末が移動している場合、複数のホットスポットを渡り歩きながら通信を行い、通信可能と通信不可能の状態を頻繁に繰り返すこととなる。そのような環境の中でTCPによる通信を行う場合、ハンドオフに起因するパケットロスにより、不必要な輻輳制御が起動されてしまうという問題点がある。これを防ぐためには、通信不能になった時点で速やかに通信を停止させ、新たに接続された無線LANにおいて速やかに通信を再開させる手段が必要である。本稿では、このような不必要な輻輳制御の起動を防ぎ、ハンドオフにおいてTCP通信のスループットを低下させない手法について述べる。 |
| 抄録(英) | IEEE802.11 wireless LAN is widely developed and the wireless LAN based Internet access environment called hot spot has been increased in recent years. Although a hot spot provides high-speed transmission, its coverage is small. Therefore, when a mobile terminal moves around, it communicates through multiple hot spots and the states in which the terminal can communicate and in which it cannot communicate will be repeated. If the terminal performs TCP communication in such an environment, unnecessary congestion control will be invoked frequently due to the packet loss resulting from the handoff. In order to prevent this problem, some procedure is required to suspend the TCP communication quickly when the terminal goes out o the communication range, and to resume the communication promptly when it comes to be able to communicate. In this paper, we propose a scheme to realize a high performance TCP communication over handoff preventing an unnecessary congestion control. |
