Abstract(in English) | This paper compared throughput performance and computational complexity of MLD with QR decomposition and M-algorithm (QRM-MLD hereafter) combined with multipath interference canceller (MPIC) with those of two-dimensional Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE), original QRM-MLD, and serial interference canceller using decision-feedback data symbols after Turbo decoding (SIC hereafter) for MIMO multiplexing in broadband DS-CDMA wireless access. Computer simulation results elucidated that the required average received signal energy per bit-to-noise power spectrum density ratio (E_b/N_O) at the average block error rate of 10^<-1> using the QRM-MLD coupled with MPIC was decreased by approximately 7.0 and 3.0 dB compared to that of two-dimensional MMSE and SIC, respectively, for 8PSK modulation and channel coding rate of R=3/4 assuming 40-MHz channel bandwidth in DS-CDMA with 15-code multiplexing for spreading factor of 16 (six-path Rayleigh fading with r. m. s. delay spread of 0.35 jisec and f_D=20Hz). Further, the throughput of 300 Mbps was achieved at the average received E_b/N_O of approximately 12 dB for 8PSK and R=8/9 and the increase in computational complexity of the QRM-MLD in the case was suppressed to approximately 10 and 2.8 times that of two-dimensional MMSE and SIC, respectively. |
