A Study on Rate Switching Decision for IEEE802.11e Block ACK

Abstract(in English) Applying link adaptation mechanism for wireless LAN based on the IEEE802.11 standard, we have the accurate criterions making decision to change transmission rate low, for instance, based on continuous channel errors. On the other hand, it is difficult to decide heightening transmission rate. In this paper, we propose link adaptation algorithms for IEEE802.11e Block ACK and evaluate the performance by computer simulation. By our proposed algorithms, we can reduce the needless re-transmission packets and control transmission rate efficiently.
