Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes application-based wireless routing scheme in MMW BWA (Millimeter-Wave Broadband Wireless Access) system. Mesh-topology BWA system is a flexible and reliable network since there are multiple paths to transmit traffic to the destination, so there is no problem even if one link is failed down or traffic is congested on a station. The routing makes it possible to make a detour avoiding poor quality radio links due to rainfall, and then enhance the reliability of whole network. Also, the routing is effective in against concentration of traffic at any access point. BWA network is expected to include various applicasions such as Internet access, VoD distribution, the hot spot and mobile communication services. In this scheme, radio packet routing determines the end-to-end route based on the application of traffic. Computer simulation results show the efficiency of this proposed routing algorithm.
