Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The rapidly increasing number of users and services in mobile communications requires efficient usage of the available frequency band. MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) systems are one possible candidate to meet these demands. Here, this paper proposes a technique for selecting receiving antennas by the channel matrix eigenvalue in MIMO systems and examines bit error rate (BER) performances employing the proposed technique under the model of where the direct path is dominant. According to results, it is clear that the effect of improving BER performances reaches the limit with 6 receiving antennas. Furthermore, the proposed technique for selecting receiving antennas by the channel matrix eigenvalue is effective for obtaining good BER performances in MIMO systems.
