Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique has recently received considerable attention especially in the radio communications systems for its efficient usage of frequency bandwidth and robustness to the multi-path fading environments. The appropriate design of guard interval (GI) taking into account the multi-path fading conditions is the essential to achieve the potential performance of OFDM technique. This paper proposes an optimum design method for the length of GI, which should be added at the transmitter and be removed at the receiver so as to achieve the higher transmission efficiency and higher signal quality under the frequency selective fading environments.
